Cinder’s Cradle in Enshrouded

Cinder’s Cradle is the new biome opened in 1.0, beyond the gate north of Veilwater Basin. It joins the six established regions and is not the same place as Blackmire.

Two layers and the roots

The lower layer is a lava waste with ruins. The upper layer is floating islands, which the notes attribute to the Ancients lifting the land. The area adds 12 Shroud Roots. Each root is still one skill point. Flame level 11 is the level that pushes the shroud back, and it raises the world’s Flame Altar cap to 16. The step before you enter raises that cap to 15. Two new Hollow Halls in 1.0 are listed for the Albaneve Summits and Veilwater Basin, not as a hall inside Cradle. The achievement name to look for is Cinder’s Cradle Stargazer.

Questions

Is Blackmire the same place?

No. Blackmire is a Revelwood sub-area from 2024, recommended around levels 13 to 15.

When can I go there?

Follow late-game progression to the gate north of Veilwater Basin. The changelog distinguishes the Flame upgrade before entering, which raises the altar limit to 15, from final Flame level 11, unlocked after the major threat and enabling Shroud pushback and 16 altars.
