After the story you still have Flame level 11, Cinder’s Cradle, gem levels up to 50 in Veilwater, and gear that can be upgraded to 55.

What is left to do

Push Flame to 11 so the Shroud recedes and the altar cap becomes 16. Clear the two new Hollow Halls in Albaneve Summits and Veilwater Basin. Farm the 12 new Shroud Roots in Cinder’s Cradle for skill points. Upgrade eternal spells and arrows the way you upgrade weapons. Use Sparkworks if you want traps and puzzles in a base you share.

Questions

Does gear matter at the cap?

Equipment upgrades go to 55, five levels past the player cap of 50. Gems in Veilwater Basin can reach 41–50.

Is there PvP endgame?

No. The FAQ says there is no PvP and no plan for it.
