Can You Play Enshrouded on Mac?

Not as a native app. Steam says macOS is unsupported. Apple silicon does not change that flag.

No macOS depot

There is no Mac checkbox on the store page. Crossover, Whisky, and similar wrappers are not supported configurations, and we have no Keen statement that they work. If you need to play on a Mac today, the official FAQ points at GeForce Now.

Not the weapon

A mace is a melee weapon inside the game. This page is only about Apple computers.

Questions

Will an M-series Mac run it locally?

Not with a build Steam sells. The mac flag is false.

Is Linux the same answer?

Linux is also false on Steam, but Proton has community reports. Mac does not get that Deck/Proton path by default.
