Rescue the Farmer, craft seedlings at a Seedbed, and plant them in suitable terrain. A separate farm-plot object is not mandatory: seedlings can grow in dirt, sand, and farming soils.

The loop

The Farmer unlocks the Seedbed. Harvesting wild crops can unlock seedling recipes, which are then crafted at that station. Place the finished seedlings in suitable terrain: the community documentation lists dirt, sand, Farm Soil, Flower Soil, and Fertilised Farm Soil. Farm Soil improves growth speed for many plants; it is terrain, not a mandatory planter object. Individual crops can have different ground and water requirements.

Flax is processed into linen. Honey can be harvested from natural beehives, including ones near Longkeep; later, a Honey Beehive provides a production route. Raw Wool can come from yaks, including tamed yaks supplied with shelter, a bed, and food. These are distinct production chains.

How do I plant?

Craft seedlings at a Seedbed and place them in suitable terrain. Ordinary dirt can work; farming soils improve growth rather than being a universal planting requirement.

Where is honey?

Harvest natural beehives on trees; the wiki names early hives near Longkeep. A later Honey Beehive can produce honey after the Farmer’s related progression.
